Hip Framing

The stair rise will be 71/2" and 11" run, we will have to use a landing at the bottom of the stair meet code requirements. With the 14" joists on the second floor (dictated by the Roof truss loading) we will need the landing to not exceed 14 steps or a 8"rise (maximum code length and height)

Stair Stringer

The Landing will actually provide a nice easy transition from hall floor to the stairs.
